To say that I have my moments of being emotionally messy is not an understatement. I’ve come to terms with my ADD diagnosis, I’m INFJ, an HSP, and a fiery Sagittarius; I have a history of caring a lot about things and people in my life, being invested, getting involved, and occasionally failing spectacularly – but I’ve learned a lot and I’m good at what I do. I love my “grown up job” which is a web user experience Front End Developer.

I’m a bit of an introvert, especially with new people or new situations, but when I’m in my comfort zone I’m rarely self-contained, I always come with an opinion (rarely restrained). The upside to all this is that what you see is pretty much what you get.

I was born on the island of Oahu, grew up in the SF Bay Area, and then in July of 2008 I packed up some of my belongings and moved cross country to RVA.

If you’re one of the many who found my site while looking for recipes then you already know I love to cook. Other random things I’ve always loved: being barefoot, green & pink, dolls, sewing, painting, crafts, music; I’ve also had a long-time passion for historical costuming, I adore afternoon tea, zombie movies, Joss Whedon, and all things Jane Austen.

I finally hit a spot where I’m confident enough in myself that I’m no longer interested in playing by the rules of people who suck, I’m determined to enjoy my life the way I want to instead of worrying about what “everyone else” thinks.
