My daughter and I are extremely close, I’m blessed to be my best friend’s Mom. I talk about her a lot when I write and rely on her at lot to take photos when I need them, there are also times when she’ll pitch hit on creative projects making edits and emailing PDF’s when I can’t.
Spoiled Fairy Princess, Graphic & Web Designer
Suanne began her design career at the tender age of six while creating amazing outifts for such famous ladies as Malibu Barbie and Raggedy Ann, not long afterward her dream of one day owning a chic boutique was born. She has a long-time passion for historical costuming, adores afternoon tea, dolls, and all things Jane Austen.
Suanne’s professional career has offered a lot of interesting opportunities; her first job was teaching ice skating, she worked as the Class Coordinator at Craftmart and enjoyed teaching craft classes with various media, she worked at SEGA giving (and writing) game hints for such favorites as Sonic the Hedgehog & Alex Kidd in Miracle World, was Producer for their corporate intranet, manged the computer training program for 1,000+ employee’s and acted as corporate PowerPoint Diva. After a stint of “working her way up the corporate ladder” to Senior Graphic Designer “in-house” for an environmental consulting firm, she took a break to care for her Father, Dave, who passed away in March of 2008. Here in Virginia she worked on several consulting projects until the Fall of 2010 when she joined a great Marketing team and was brought on as a permanent employee in February of 2011 .
If you’re wondering where the honorary title of “Spoiled Fairy Princess” came from here’s the simple answer; from my wonderful son, Killian. Sarah, the girl child, is my angel; Killian is goose (as in silly…) or “the evil plan man”. One day, when the boy child was very young, we were having a silly conversation and somehow, when it ended, he had dubbed his Mama “the Spoiled Fairy Princess” which fit perfectly into my Thorn Chronicles.

Sarah is a talented photographer, she’s many of her photos available for download in “desktop size” on her Flickr page. She is currently working as a Food Service Professional where she is enjoying the immediate gratification for a job well done in the form of hard cash tips. Sarah’s computer skills include ease of use in both MAC & Windows environments, she has strong Adobe software skills particularly in Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign, she can hand code & edit HTML, and is fluent in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
She adores shoes, books, photography, cats, and music. While she isn’t a “doll collector” she loves her little Lati Yellow BJD, Poppy, and her mini-me an SD Obitsu. She plays a mean game of Halo/Halo 2 and Left 4 Dead/L4D2. She’s been on XBOX live for 7 years and has been known to use the taunt “That’s right! You just got beaten by a little girl!” One of her favorite creative pursuits is painting, she’s experimenting now with hand painting shoes so watch Flickr for pics of those.
