I’m not celebrating Thanksgiving in honor of the European invasion of this country – those at Standing Rock are a sharp reminder of what it should mean when someone talks about immigrants who rape and murder the citizens of a country. I am feeling grateful today, and most days, for people and things which are important in my life.
