I went looking for an article on the benefits of Yoga and found this one from Mayo Clinic Staff “Yoga: Tap into the many health benefits of yoga” that I thought looked particularly good.
Yoga is a wonderful practice, I know I feel significantly better when I’m practicing it regularly. Not only does it strengthen your muscles but it’s incredibly relaxing once you begin to learn the poses (asana’s). As you develop the confidence to flow from one asana to the next you begin to be free to focus more on your breathing and staying in a relaxed state of control.
My secret weapon for affordable Yoga classes is Gold’s Gym. I found that their monthly membership fee (and all you can take Yoga classes) is the most economical choice, it provides the added benefit of Pilates when you’re ready for a challenge, showers & locker room, and of course access to the rest of the gym.
